ROTOFIL SHOOT REMOVER

Horizontal flail desuckering machine used mainly for viticulture, but also useful for other crop uses.

Rotofil has the task of eliminating shoots emerging on the stems of plants in general. The operation also allows, with excellent results, the removal of weeds along the row, between plant and plant, without damaging the shoots with the fruit.

The operation also allows, with excellent results, the removal of weeds along the row, between plant and plant, without damaging the shoots with the fruit.

The machine is set up for the universal three-point attachment of the rear lift. The axis of the desuckering roller is designed obliquely with respect to the row, so as to widen the field of action on the grassy ground and at the same time make the desuckering operation more delicate.

The suckering machine is equipped with two hydraulic controls, one for adjusting the working height of the flail roller, the other for lateral movement (0.45 m) of the suckering unit. It is also equipped with an “adjustable” carter (hydraulically upon request) which limits the extension of the flails for the Guyot trained vine.

Replacement of flagella is rapid.

Versione Tunnel

Hydraulic Shoot Removing unit for vineyards: the ideal tool for the soft removal of the shoots from the trunk of the vines and the weed growing under the rows.

This unit was designed to be mounted on the suitable frame, both on the front of the tractor and on the side in single (or double) version with a special flange or on the universal rear hoister of any tractor with rear connection.

In the picture, it is presented with a specific frame for the front assembly on tractor without hoisters.

The same frame can also support the “RapidLam13” Inter-row Blade using a coulter or a disc (digging out   and/or covering the foot of the plant).

The most interesting feature of the equipment is that it supports two rapidly interchangeable shoot removing shafts. This exclusive feature allows the complete cleaning of the plant and the soil under the rows without using chemicals.

Classic Version

In fact, one of the shafts is equipped with heavy rubber whips – flat-shaped, forked and rounded at the ends with rapid “push&pull” connection and disconnection system – and this allows optimizing the spring intervention with young grass and a big quantity of shoots, while the second one, smaller aluminium roll bearing round nylon whips of small dimension, is aggressive enough on the grass to better remove the   weed in summer and the few shoots remained after the first passage.

This configuration of the shoot remover allows operating on vineyards with both strong weeds and shoots in big quantity during the whole vegetation stage of the vines without damaging or shocking the plant. This is obtained also thanks to an “oil control” system for the rotation speed regulation depending on the type of shredding shaft used and the conditions of the weeds at the moment of the intervention.

Hydraulic Shoot Remover – mod. Rotoflex

Hydraulic removal unit for vineyards, ideal for the delicate removal of suckers from the vine stock and weeds under the rows.

Hydraulic removal unit for vineyards, ideal for the delicate removal of suckers from the vine stock and weeds under the rows. This unit has been designed to be applied on a special frame, both on the front part of the tractor, and on the ventral position in a single (or double) version with a specific flange or, on the universal rear lift of any tractor with a rear-mounted frame.

In the image, we also present it mounted on a specific frame for front application on tractors without a lift. On the same frame it is also possible to insert the Interceppi Blade mod. “RapidLam13” with the use of a ploughshare or disc (displacement and/or ridging).

The most interesting innovation is that the group is equipped with two pruning shafts, quickly interchangeable. This exclusive innovation makes the cleaning of the plant and the sub-row definitive, without the use of chemical herbicides. In fact, one of the trees which is equipped with heavy flails made of special rubber – flat in shape, forked and rounded at the end, with a rapid “push&pull” hooking-unhooking system – will make it possible to optimize spring intervention in the presence of tender grass but with significant quantity of suckers, while the second smaller aluminum roller containing small, round nylon flails, sufficiently aggressive on the grass, will allow us to better manage the most intensive weeds throughout the summer season and those few suckers left unharmed by the first step.

The objective of the invention was to be able to operate on vineyards in the presence of advanced weeds and with widespread shoots, throughout the seasonal vegetative phase of the vine, without offending or causing trauma to the plant; this was achieved also thanks to an “oil-control” system – this allows the rotation speed of the tool to be dosed – in relation to the type of flagellating tree used and the “state” of the pests present at the time of the intervention.
